tick Tock......

1. AJ Still hasn't won in August in three seasons for the Yankees.

2. Girardi, of course, has already penciled him in for his next loss.

3. Jorge is still sitting around making everyone feel badly.

His sulking presence ( I know he is trying to be a team player, but his active status on the team gives us a totally useless 25th man ) is a reminder that their careers won't end
well either ( unless one has the nobility of Mattingly, Mantle, etc., and faces the reality before it faces them ).

4. Mariano is having another one of those mid-season, mini " slumps" that makes us wonder. Some day, our fears will be confirmed. Girardi will pencil him in anyway. As, I suppose, we all would.

5. Jesus still awaits a call in Scranton.

P.S. If he is really Jesus, can't he just alter the thinking of Girardi and Cashman and "force" them to bring him to NYC?

6. Jorge Vasquez is asking to get Kei Igawa's jersey to wear, since he is the next foreign born Yankee on the "never-to-be-seen" in the majors ladder.

7. Brett Gardner still has a ways to go in those clutch moments at the plate.

8. The Yankees are not beating the good teams, right now.

Tick tock.

  1. Look on the bright side...John Sterling called your name 3 times last night. It is high, it is far, it is...caught! 3 freakin times!

Oh and my word verification to post this is "mantle". Is that a sign?

  2. the yankees are not beating the good teams ", right now"

alphonso shows signs of juju weakness. a potential decline showing signs rivaled only by mo's mini slump. in his prime that would read: "the yankees will never beat the good teams"

  3. Can't Jesus just transfigurate himself to look like Posada and take his place wearing #20? The real Jorge can then be sent off a cliff, to a soft landing on Laura, until he announces his retirement after we lose the ALCS at Fenway.
