but maybe the poll is referring to the way he has been treating Yankee fans? A .244 hitter batting 3rd? And to think of all the fuss made about Jeter hitting first?
I think some of the guys they polled misheard, and thought it was “MEEKEST 15 guys in baseball.” Teixeira would make a good No. 6 or 7 hitter, the way Graig Nettles was back in the day. In the No. 3 spot, he’s a disaster. Teixeira’s lifetime postseason marks: .214/.320/.330.
