It Is Granderson's Fault !
Garnderson was sent back to us by the devil.
His job is :
1. to strike out
2. to kill rallies with double play ground balls to second
3. to not hit with runners in scoring position
4. to get turned around on fly balls in right field.
5. to no longer hit home runs
6. to have a batting average under .200
7. to cash an outrageous paycheck
8. to keep Wells or Ichiro on the bench, spitting seeds.
We can only hope some pitcher nails him again. Nothing serious; just another 12 weeks on the DL.
I'll give him another week or so before adding him to my 'The Following Shall Be Shot At Dawn Tomorrow' list. Given that he had basically no spring training and was rushed back, I'm not surprised his timing isn't there right now.
ReplyDeleteI'm just not happy that he was called back so quickly - with the team doing well, there would have been no harm in giving Boesch a few more games and letting Granderson spend time getting his timing and rhythm back after the injury.
Ichiro on the bench is a good enough reason for me to want Grandy in the line-up. The homers will start coming soon.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the outfield, why are the Yankees holding on to Ben Francisco?
ReplyDeleteGranderson is a lost cause. The half season of professionalism we saw in 2011 was it. Somehow, New York has ruined him, or more accurately, he has ruined himself by playing here. The media? The pressure? The microscopic attention by fans to his blossoming flaws? Hard to say.
ReplyDeleteNice guy. Waste of space. Offensively, Ichiro will come around sooner and play better defense.
Grandy is a black hole in the lineup of Adam Dunn proportions, except without the possibility of potentially changing games. He's the patron saint of solo homers, and the lifetime runnerup for heroic walks back to the dugout while staring at the hole in his bat. That said, he is not as weak and powerless and useless as Itchy Suzuki.
ReplyDeleteWow, Mr. Duque sir. You really do have a direct line to the Juju gods.
ReplyDeleteI bow in thy presence. And I can't wait to see who you smite next. (I assume Phelps wasn't your doing.)
you forgot to mention that the grandyman is the king of grinding out 3 pitch at bats. heck i think once i even saw him work a walk.
ReplyDeleteWell, asshole, you got your wish. Now shut the fuck up.
ReplyDeletetake your friggin juju and shove it up your ass
ReplyDeleteWow, it was bound to happen at least once. Who else will you work your juju on?
