Question For Today

How many games are we likely to win when we get two hits per nine innings?

Y'know who this line-up reminds me of, Alphonso? The Pirate line-up behind Harvey Haddix when he pitched TWELVE (12) PERFECT innings and still lost. The guy pitched one and a third perfect games and the bums behind him couldn't score a single run to support one of the greatest pitching performances in baseball history. That's what our team is flirting with, becoming one of the most anemic rosters ever. Thank goodness we have outstanding pitchers like Joba and Hughes. But, you can never predict baseball.

  2. I listened to that game pitched by Haddix. For the first time, I felt that baseball was unfair.

Of course, I was about 8.

Now I know that eerything is unfair.
