Debating John & Suzyn At The New York Times

This piece by Dan Barry, who complains (fairly) that the Hertz 24/7 Broadcast Booth play-by-play contains too many commercial messages and (unfairly) that John never lets Suzyn talk, has ignited a hot comment war on the state of the New York Yankees Radio Network.

    surprising how people object to The Master and his Mistress. I mean if all you want is chain restaurants, go to KC or Minnesota. But if you want something unique, and our announcers are clearly that, then tune into the Yankees. One of a kind.

    Am I wrong to thrill to the Master's voice during men's room visits at the Stadium? Most of the time I don't even have to pee.
