Tanaka Fails To Pass Conditioning Test

Okay, this is not an actual photo of our latest $165 million dollar man.

It is, however, representative of his views toward conditioning.  Apparently, yesterday, he was required to run some laps at Tampa stadium with the other pitchers and catchers who have thus far reported.

He looked like a first time marathoner hitting the wall early.  Until counseled by his countryman, 39 year old Kuroda, Tanaka thought you simply showed up in America and pitched.

Is this another case of muffed " due diligence" on the part of the Yankee brain trust?

How can this guy be a quality pitcher if his legs are like rubber by the top of the third?

Have they caught it in time?

This was a frightening and shocking report out of Tampa.
