MLB doesn't officially recognize Cap Anson as having 3425 hits. They claim only 3,081, as they dont recognize the National Association as a major league.
They also claim Honus has 10 more hits than BBRef does, so Jeter still has a few to go. Not sure what the deal with that is. I'm inclined to go with the hobbyists at BBRef over MLB in general though.
