According to a report from Joel Sherman, the Yankees are "intrigued" by the idea of trading for Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus.As opposed to being "captivated" or "fascinated," or "enchanted."
Maybe they are "transfixed." Or "beguiled."
I doubt they are "smitten." I hope they are not "infatuated."
The Rangers have him for eight years at $120 million. I suspect they are "obsessed" with getting rid of him.
