Big tough-talking Boston, with its record snowfall, would be nothing in the Golden Snowball

Boston has been getting all the headlines lately, but it's a Division III city for snow. It's counting record snow numbers - 78.5 inches on the year, thus far - but that would put it in third place, behind plucky Buffalo and perennial superpower Syracuse.

The 'Cuse shaved another inch off Buffalo's lead this week. About 10 days ago, it stood at 14 inches. Now, it's down to 10. There is plenty of snow ball yet to play.

As for Boston, it should forget the Golden Snowball. It should play in the Amos Alonzo Stag-ball.
