Consolation Prize: Our night was bad; their night was worse

  1. Sandoval hit a homerun (whoo-hoo, first in a month), then butchered two fielding chances. Three months into his $90 million contract, he's starting to make A-rod's look like a good deal for the Yankees.

...and this gem from the boston globule/pravda:
"Betts was injured when he tried unsuccessfully to make a spectacular catch on a ball off the bat of Justin Smoak"

A "spectacular catch" on a ball that he misplayed worse than Mason Williams. The 45 degree turn didn't help a lot.

  2. ...and what the hell is going on with Pineda?

One day he will look great, then we get last night.
