It has become clear that no amount of sucking by Drew could cause him to be released. He could hit .000/.000/.000 the rest of the way, and we would still be hearing about how his BABIP was below his career averages and how he was clearly due for a rebound, and then they would sign him to a three-year contract, just to solidify the infield until Refsnyder gets a shot in 2019...
So if Drew can give us a good performance once every two months or so, I'll take it and not worry about its [nonexistent] future roster impact.
