Whoosh. That was not only the sound of Yankee bats Sunday, it was the sound of Baltimore passing them in the standings

Move along, everybody, there's nothing to see. Go on, get! There's a long way to go. It's way too early to panic. YOU THERE, STOP GAWKING! MOVE!

    Yeah we're not that good. But neither is anyone else. The Orioles and Jays have more explosive hitting, but their pitching is not as good. Tampa has the best pitching, but can't hit. In some ways the Yanks are the most balanced team, but they are also streaky and inconsistent. And their defense has not been good.

    I figure Tampa wins this thing. Just hope that the Yanks promote rather than trade away prospects.
