Yankee terror threat elevated: The Redsocks have played far too poorly thus far to be only seven games out

Everything has gone wrong this season, and now Dustin Pedroia is hurt: By now, Boston should be out of the race - done, kaput.

Over their last 10, the Redsocks are 6-4. They beat Toronto last night. The sheer crumminess of the AL East has saved them. They remain too close for comfort.

    You are in fantasy land if you think our position in the AL East is meaningful. Of course, Boston is better than we are. Of course they will overtake us.

    We are not winning anything or going to the dance.
