"A witness who asked not to be identified said she was seated a row in front of the man when he began shouting at Rodriguez. 'All of a sudden, he just flew right over the rail,' she said."

A fan died last night in Atlanta, falling from the upper deck, apparently while screaming at A-Rod.

We live in a strange world.

  1. Candidate for a Darwin award. I guess he was tomahawked off the upper deck.

The strange thing is, Atlanta has some of the calmest fans, a good portion of which have no clue as to what is going on on the field. I would have picked at least a dozen cities more likely to have this happen.

  2. Perhaps some people are taking this A-Rod hatred to an unnecessary extreme. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, his crimes hardly register, but folks get more worked up about A-Rod than just about anything.

It should be noted that he was the third to go over the rail at Turner Field in the past 8 years. Maybe they've got an engineering or design problem they ought to address there .... Hey, yeah, let's build a new stadium. We obviously need it since people are falling to their death in this one.

  3. Reminds me of these two dogs a friend of mine owned. They'd raise hell when the mailman came up to the door. Barking and snarling like crazy. Throwing themselves against a glass window by the door, secure in the knowledge that they were protected from any consequences of their atrocious behavior.

Then one day they broke the window....

Falling in love with hating alex
    Is playing the fool
Hating alex too much is juvenile fancy
Hating from upper decks can be very chancy
