I can't do it anymore. Fuck this team. Fuck Joe, Fuck Nova, Fuck the bullpen, Fuck Nova, Fuck Pineda, Fuck CC, Fuck Nova, and Fuck everyone involved in this shit organization except John and Suzyn.
Anyone who thinks the Yanks are still a lock for that one game play-in is living in Fantasyland. This is a full-blown Metsian implosion. If we get to 85 wins this year it'll be a miracle -- and it won't be enough for even the stupidest everyone-gets-a-trophy, brainchild-of-Bud Selig postseason scenario.
We can at least take solace in the fact that this team did far better than any rational human would have dared dream for the first five months of the season. They've only lived down to our expectations for, what, two weeks?
