Yankees to miss 3rd straight post-season and immediately go into rehab

Dead showing.
Dead team.
Dead franchise.
And probably worse next year.

  1. It's winter in October. Again.

  2. That was pathetic. I just hope I don't have to spend the off-season bitching about how Cash traded Refsnyder and Bird for old, injury-prone veterans.

  3. assholes

    OFFseason = ALL lower case.

I feel like it's 1986 all over again.

No one to root for except for career ending injuries.

    I hate all these teams.

The 2016 season will be brought to you be DEPENDS, the official undergarment of The New York Yankees.

Will it be "Bye, Bye, Birdie," or will they let Tex swat with one of his crutches?

  5. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes those losses are meted out by real assholes. Bill Mazeroski comes to mind. But it happens. What IS unacceptable are the Bush League high jinx of Carlos Gomez. That guy is a slug. No class whatsoever. Who will step up and be Bob Kammeyer? CarGo gets drilled, Don Drysdale-style in April. Maybe this is a job for Capuano.

  6. WELL MY FRIENDS...LETS SEE IF WE HEAR BRIAN CASHMAN AGAIN SAY, "WE DON'T NEED HITTING, WE HAVE PLENTY OF HITTING, WE CAME IN 2ND IN THE LEAGUE IN RUNS SCORED. I'M LOOKING FOR PITCHING, PITCHING AND MORE PITCHING."...WELL YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKER, IF YOU CAN'T SEE THAT THIS TEAM IS AN OFFENSIVE DISASTER ( AND HAS BEEN FOR A SOLID 4 YEARS RUNNING NOW), THEN WE ARE DOOMED FOR AS LONG AS THIS MOPE HAS THE GM JOB...DOOMED. THERE IS SO MUCH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT, BUT I AM FUCKING EXASPERATED RIGHT NOW, AND WAY TO CRUSHED AND DISGUSTED TO EXPOUND ON SHIT. BUT BE READY...I'M A MUSHROOM CLOUD LAYING MOTHERFUCKER, MOTHERFUCKER...

  7. I guess that means we lost?

  8. Now I'm glad Steinbrenner fired me.

  9. Hey, this Alphonso guy is really insightful. I'm so glad he joined me in rehab.

  10. Hmmm. This Alphonso fellow has an answer for everything. Maybe drugs and alcohol ARE good for you, like Hunter S. Thompson says. Hmmm. OK, Alphonso. Let me try that CC on the rocks with a draft. And which end of this thing do you light?

  11. This is an organization in desperate need of a reboot. Owners on down to the players. Fuck them all, I'm just glad it's over. God-willing we're not left seeing Mets-Jays World Series.

  12. OK here's the thing... I have been a Yankee Fan since 1960 with a brief side track from 1963 to 1967 when I was a Dodger fan. (sorry but my seven year old left handed born in Brooklyn Jewish self had a thing for Koufax - if you had seen him strike out the 15 Yankees in the World Series you would too.) but since then I am all pinstripes. I hate to say it but I'm glad they lost. I'm glad because I don't have to watch them again this year (and I watch them all) Done.

Fire Girardi. I'm hoping that the CC thing become the Francona Boston drinking and eating fried chicken in the clubhouse kind of, scandal, to quote Micheal Kay "See Ya" kind of thing. This team needs to totally change. Elsbury gone! Gardner Gone! No more collective outfield output that doesn't equal one Blue Jay. Gone! Remember when Gardner was Gritty Gutty Brett Gardner? Now he's shitty shitty Brett Gardner. Go! Thanks for nothing.

I read River Ave Blues and every week they ask you to pick a number from 1-10 about how you feel about the team's future and I always pick 6 (because I'm an optimist at heart.)Right now I'm a 3. Fire Girardi a 4, fire Cashman a 5, trade Gardner and Elsbury a 6, sell the team to someone who isn't working out his daddy issues an 8 and so it goes. Man did that game suck.

  13. I was there. I can't believe how bad McCan is. I can't fathom why Refsnyder hardly played until September. He and Bird had the best at bats, along with A Rod. Tanaka is worth about half the money they gave him. Ellsbury is worth about a dollar.

  14. If they trade Bird I'm going to stop watching them. That'll be it. I'll learn what the hell is going on in curling and watch that. Not Bird. Leave him alone. Don't trade him. Don't coach him. Don't tell him to pull everything to hit 6 extra home runs in exchange for 50 points on his average when they all shift on him. Don't breathe on him. Just leave Bird alone.

  15. Joe just called me into the office and said I've been traded to the Oakland Athletics. Anybody know anything about a trade this time of year?

  16. To compete with Houston, suggested lineup to consist of the following:
Noel, Refsnyder, Pirela, Heathcott, Bird, Ackley, Murphy, anyone but veterans.

  17. BENNYBOY IS RIGHT ON...THAT'S WHAT I SAW TONIGHT...THE BEST AT-BATS CAME FROM BIRD AND REFSNYDER...THE DECISION TO SEND REFSNYDER DOWN AFTER THE ALL STAR BREAK WAS A COSTLY ONE(AND A VERY WRONG ONE)...AS I POSTED BEFORE, WE ARE LOCKED IN ON A LOT OF UNDESIRABLES FOR NEXT SEASON...THE ONLY OFFENSIVE UPGRADES WE CAN MAKE CAN COME FROM 2ND BASE, AND POSSIBLY FROM LEFT FIELD. WE NEED TO FIND A TAKER FOR GARDY, ALTHOUGH NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN, HE'S 32 AND MAY NOT HAVE MANY TAKERS...MICHAEL BRANTLEY COMES TO MY MIND AS A GOOD ON THE RISE, CLUTCH PLAYER...MY FIRST CHOICE FOR 2ND BASE IS ROB REFSNYDER BECAUSE WE NEED A DECENT RIGHT HANDED BAT IN THE LINEUP (DON'T PLATOON REF, HE CAN HIT RIGHTIES FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN (BOTH HOMERS HE HIT WERE OFF RIGHTIES)..IF WE CONTINUE TO INSIST ON REFUSING TO GIVE REF THE JOB, I SAY SIGN DANIEL MURPHY. HE WILL HIT 25 HOMERS AND KNOCK IN 80-90 RUNS IN THE STADIUM, AND HE IS A NOTED, CLUTCH HITTER. (HE SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME WHEN HE GETS UP WITH GUYS ON BASE WHEN THE METS PLAY US).. HE WON'T BE PERFECT IN THE FIELD, AND HE'S NOT A RIGHT HANDED HITTER, BUT WE MUST FIND WAYS TO IMPROVE OUR OFFENSE AND OUR CLUTCH HITTING ABILITIES (WHICH ARE ATROCIOUS)!....I SUGGEST BRINGING UP AARON JUDGE (A RIGHTY HITTER) AS SOON AS HE HITS A CONSISTENT HOT STREAK IN TRIPLE AAA..LET HIM PLATOON WITH BELTRAN, I GOT A FEELING BELTRAN WILL BE MISSING TIME QUITE A BIT NEXT YEAR- (ANOTHER YEAR OLDER)...THROW THE BRINKS TRUCK AT DAVID PRICE (ALTHOUGH I FEEL LIKE HE HATES US AND NEVER WANTS TO COME TO US)..MAKE HIM CRY ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY HE WILL BE TURNING AWAY....DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TRADING BIRD, HE LOOKS LIKE A "NATURAL", AND THE BEST PART IS HE CAN HIT THE BALL THE OTHER WAY...HE SHOULD GET PLENTY OF PLAYING TIME AS GIRARDI WILL BE RESTING TEX CONSTANTLY. BIRD DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A PROBLEM HITTING AGAINST KEUCHEL TONIGHT, HE'S SUCH A KEEPER...I GUESS WE'RE STUCK WITH HEADLEY (THANKS CASH), AND DIDI MADE BIG STRIDES THIS YEAR, BUT HE IS NOT THERE YET WITH THE BAT (HE WAS ATROCIOUS WITH RISP)..HOPEFULLY, HE CAN KEEP IMPROVING.. SO THERE YOU HAVE IT...ADD ANY REASONABLE IDEAS BECAUSE I'M GONNA HANG MYSELF IF WE CAN'T COME UP WITH A PLAN TO MAKE THIS TEAM HIT AND SCORE MORE...AND CASH, REMEMBER, WHEN TEAMS CAN'T HIT OR SCORE, THAT MAKES THE TEAM BORRRRRINGGGG!!! AND BORING COSTS EVERYONE MONEY! SO FIX THIS SHIT!....NOW!!!!!

  18. The UofP Anonymous here, throwing in his two cents (Hope Hal S. doesn't steal my 2 cents) What else can one expect from an organization so incompetent. Simply look at the so-called Board of Directors, with a dead man at the top. Fortunately Felix Lopez was removed this past year. George Weiss must be turning in his grave to see the horrible job done by little Brian Cashman, who should have gone into the harness racing business, probably mucking out stalls. Joe Girardi studied engineering in college, and he shows it, as he knows very little about baseball managing. He really spent two days working on a batting lineup that got three hits????PLEASE RESIGN JOE!!! If the Steinbrenners don't want to fire guys under contract, then give them other jobs in the organization. Brian and Joe can do less damage elsewhere. (Jessica needs a husband and Joan needs a landscaper) BTW, I have been a Yankee fan since Bucky Harris was Manager Nuff said
