You think Bryce Harper struck out twice, popped to short and hit a one hopper to second, his first 4 times up? Go look up Johnny Bench and see what his major league debut was like.
How about Derek's debut ? ( I forgot all the details, but we knew he was going to be great from day one. )
Sanchez showed that he is fine in the minors, but may not have the make-up for the big leagues.
He may prove okay, just as Romine finally is ( after, what 4 years up and down to the minors?).
But he is not yet on the list of potential greats. He has to perform. Not just make people hope that he can.
Refsnyder performs every time. And the Yankees still treat him as though he brings a plague to NY.
DON'T FORGET THOUGH.....SANCHEZ WAS FACING THE HOTTEST PITCHER IN BASEBALL (SALE), AND HE DID SMOKE A LINE DRIVE, DEEP TO LEFT FIELD OFF HIM.
