It Has reached the Point Where....

1.  A single Yankee win represents their 6th best ( and longest ) win streak of the 2016 season.

2.  Fans come to the stadium because someone gave them tickets.

3.  The food is better than the game.

4.  The Yankees perform like the USMNT vs. Argentina ( hint:  the US team did not register a single shot ).

5.  Yankee fans want the baseball season to end in April.

6.  We think it just can't get any worse.

7.  A level of anger builds in that the " ownership" refuses to see the absolute incompetence of our "General Manager for life" ( attribution to Mr. Duque ).

8.  It is better to be an alcoholic than a Yankee fan.

9.  It is simply incomprehensible that Yankee players are earning $18 million per year.

10.  The Yankees need an exclusion from the league, whereby they can use cricket bats instead of Louisville sluggers.

11.  Opponents must be allowed only 1 out per inning.

12.  We fans have nightmares about tripping and breaking our legs in the Eurotunnel.

Toot.  Toot.

  1. Hey, all is not lost..... I see where the Yankees have one semi-regular batting .300. Oh no, Moron Girardi wants to rest him, and bring back "Peg Leg" Mark.

  2. The 50 Year Prophecy--- If you want Negative Positive JuJu, that is to say, Re Build JuJu, as opposed to .500 baseball JuJu-- the JuJu particles are entirely different that is-- it is like working with Neutrons, rather than Electrons -- you need to post the Yankee Team Topps Card from 1967, which will show that the Yankees finished in 10th and Last Place in 1966. Your 1966 Topps Card shows a 6th Place finish. You are forestalling the Negative Positive JuJu this team needs. Or so it occurred to me after my sixth Bud, trolling the internet during a Sterling Yankee Performance by Ivan Nova.

  3. "It is better to be an alcoholic than a Yankee fan." Alphonso, that should be mounted over the entrance to the clubhouse.

  4. Headley forestalls his inevitable demotion with a Grand Slam, plating four runs with one mighty blow and thereby increasing his RBI total for the season by more than 25 percent. At this pace, he's a lock to drive in 35 for the season and earn a contract extension through his age 40 season. Chase 'em, Chase, with -- as ANONYMOUS recommends, a Jack and Coke.

  6. I went to the game with an old friend who's a Rockies fan and we left after about 5 innings. It was the first time I've gone to a game in about three or four years, and I missed the big comeback and dramatic walk-off win. And I didn't really care.

We got in buying senior citizen bleacher tickets for $5 and spent a lot of time wandering the stands and sitting in the upper deck near home plate. Nice deal.
