I don't have faith in Montgomery. Looks good for the first two batters, starts giving up bombs. That's his game plan. He also likes going to 3-ball counts too much.

I'm not sure he was anything to begin with. You have to remember that he came up during the dark days of Stephen Drew and his .187 BA, at that point we were desperate to believe anybody they had in their system was legitimate enough to supplant him. I think all of the potential most of you saw in him was wishful thinking.
Outside of that homerun in Boston, at no point was I impressed with his hitting, and his glove was pretty much always a granite slab.
Is it too early to say I love this team? When I saw today's lineup, I had at least *some* confidence in every hitter but Carter. I don't remember the last time I felt that good looking at a Yankee lineup.
