The official "We Can't Stop Now Because the Juju Gods are Great!" IT IS HIGH Game Thread


This is for tonight's game, which we will not win. Good god, the Reds are leading the National League Central! Considering the fatigue factor, we'll be lucky to score a run. Let's just thank the juju gods for allowing us to play. By the way, have you noticed how good they're looking lately? They've lost weight. Wow. They're like rock stars. I'd like to give each of them a foot massage. Let's not be afraid to tell them how much we care.

    I saw one of Rookie Davis' first pro games while pitching for Staten Island. It broke my heart when we traded him. I still root for him. But not tonight.

    Guys:

    I was out for the night having a few drinks beer with people who aren't baseball fans.

    I returned and came straight here vs. going to mlb.com to get the score.

    The comments look like we're getting killed.

    WE'RE KICKING THEIR ASS.

    Now, I'll go look at the rest of the box score and try to savor what's going on.

    If this holds (top of the 8th, 10-4, 2 men on, 1 out), we'll have bought ourselves a day of rest AND kicked ass.

    I am standing down from the position. I was out, roving around far Brooklyn on Pineapple Patrol, but we seem to have come through. I don't know why we should even play tomorrow, though. We may as well concede the game and go home.

    I CAN HONESTLY SAY AFTER WATCHING TONIGHT'S GAME, THAT THE REDS ARE A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, TEAM...... FORGET ABOUT THEIR 17 - 14 RECORD AND THEIR 1ST PLACE STANDING.
    THEY ARE A MINOR LEAGUE TEAM, WITH NO HITTING (MINUS VOTTO), NO STARTING PITCHING, AND NO BULLPEN. (THE DEFENSE LOOKED FOR SHIT TOO).....
    WITH THAT SAID, WE CAN'T POSSIBLY WIN TOMORROW, NO SHOT WITH CC.
