That was a big Yankee win

Yep, a big Yankee win.

A list of thingys:

1. Severino is our Wild Card game starter.

2. El Chapo is our Wild Card game closer.

3. Once again, Tyler Austin delivered in the clutch.

4. Anybody wanna guess the next time we'll see Austin play?

  1. HBP! HBP!

Hey, a win is a win.

Still, it was demoralizing to see how absolutely J.G. stuck by his Binders. No stealing a base, or putting on a play—not even when we had the lead, Ellsbury on third and Gardner at the plate. A bunt? Don't be ridiculous!

He wasn't helped by Cashman's relentless pursuit of minor-league titles. At one point in the 8th or 9th, Suzyn said out loud, "In case you're wondering, the Yankees have no left-handers on the bench." Sweet! So glad, too, that we didn't bring up some speed guy from the minors, such as Florial to steal bases for us.

Meanwhile, Judge and Sanchez remained our very own, "Unsullied by Clutchness." The Master mentioned that Judge "double-clutched" on a 2-0 change, but still couldn't hit it.

"It was the same pitch," Suzyn said, almost audibly grinding her teeth. "It was the same pitch as the last one he threw, right over the plate. But he couldn't hit it."

Judge then did his best to make two outs instead of one, but fortunately the oddly named Rouged Knees Odor threw wide to first.

Well, I'd rather be lucky than pineappled. Texas pulls the starter who was blowing us away for their coldest hand in the bullpen? Great! We'll take it!

  2. Excellent analysis, Horatio; at this rate, though, with this hidebound, stubborn management, we would need a starting rotation of Sevy, Kershaw, Sale, Kluber, and, maybe, Sonny Boy, to win a ring this year.

At least we got even with Little Ricky Rodriguez...

I'm typing this standing up yet, due to last night's game, btw.

Give me some offense, rather than a pitchers' duel, any day - - still painful, not capitalizing on scoring opportunities, 10 Ks, or no. Fire Girardi!! Fire Cash-puss!! LB (No J)

  6. I can see why you would be prone to equate those two four-letter S-words, all-caps - - but just keep this in mind:

Sale/Shit pitched against us five times, this season - - he didn't get even ONE win out of those five. BWAAA-HAAAA-HAAAAAAAAA!!!! LB (No J)

  7. I KNOW LB (NO J).....

.....BUT WHEN HE DOESN'T PITCH AGAINST US HE IS LETHAL.

..... HE SEEMS TO WIN ALL THE TIME AGAINST TEAMS WE HAVE TROUBLE AGAINST (THAT MEANS EVERYBODY)......LOL
