Merry Mickmas

On this sacred date in 1931 the Commerce Comet came into the world.

Hang the stockings, everybody.

  2. duque, you sure make baseball, and life, fun!

I believe that the new guy WinWarblist is practicing some pretty high level juju. a type we have not seen before. Ken from Brooklyn noticed this and I have come to agreement.

That PLUS Alfonzo's mysterious absence. Fonz must be deep in his hidden bunker practicing unspeakable juju rituals. the sorts that would lead to arrest in certain municipalities throughout the South.

    you guys keep it up.

  3. KD, I'm afraid I'm not practicing Ju-Ju. I'm just naturally excitable!

  4. Here in Texas we call today "Saint Mickeymas." Seems to roll off the tongue.

  5. I'm proud to say that I was fortunate enough to see Mick play numerous times - - mostly in the old Comiskey Park; one of my happiest moments came when, late in his career, and he was playing LF (at Comiskey), I was sitting in the LF bleachers, and when they were warming up, I yelled "Hi, Mickey", and he turned around and saw me (a teenager) wearing my Yankee gear, and he waved, and said, "Hi!" That is one of the highlights of a life-long love relationship with the team (though not the owners or management).

I can't warble - - I leave that to the Master - - I will just be yelling, in my den.
    Go, Yanks!! LB (No J)

  6. Urban Farmer, I share your feeling. The overwhelming electricity of mighty JuJu is in the air throughout the land from sea to shining sea...Atlantic to Pacific, where the all seeing gods are guiding our energies to this mythical Yankees team.

And now, for two hours of pre game shows, with a nearly full bottle of Templeton rye--the traditional whiskey (rye) of this magical country of Trumpland.
