A Night That Will Live In Ignominy

In case some of you didn't see the Times' headline for last night's Mets game:

"Mets Fight Off a No-Hitter, but Not Ignominy"

It included the lines, "With the Braves leading 11-0, the remaining question was, would this be merely a bad loss? Or a historic, humiliating one?"

Oh Mets.

Meanwhile, the Yankees took the lead again over Soccer, 74-73.

    I have a feeling in my gut that were gonna pull off a World series win.... But it might be DESPITE the coach and not BECAUSE of him. I think the talent of the team keeps bailing him out of pinapple quality decisions

    Parson, these are makeups from the juju lords for all the close games they lost last year. Remember June and July, it was the largest pineapple harvest in decades.

    Although with 2 strikes on Andujar, John felt it was the right time to mention Holder was warming in the bullpen. A box score with a 6 spot in the top of the 10th flashed into my mind's eye and I was ready to accept the loss.
