  3. You know, it seems more like luck that is winning these games. Since beating the Angels 11-1, the Yanks were in 9 nail biters that could have easily went the other way, especially in relief. It feels juju may notice this and start going after the Yanks for their insolence of winning too many close games.

Luckily all teams has rather lousy relief, so it'll surely work in our favor as long as we can keep the games close enough for the first 6 innings. The early crap fest we had to start the season off was probably the ice cold playing conditions which really shouldn't be a thing for any human to endure.

  4. Angels, Astros, Redsocks,........ Indeed one would expect just blowouts and double digit first innings. Those chappy teams are unworthy and we are a failing machine if we have to resort to come back wins and nail biters.

Or maybe these are frigging great wins and do we need to hold judgement until we play Kansas, Marlins, Texas and other sad nations.

  6. Big Yankee win, indeed! However, I am having a big Yankee senile moment over this statement in today's Daily News:

"Gardner, one of three current Yankees who was part of the club's last championship title, in 2009, ..."

For the life of me, I cannot think of the third. Of course, there's Gardy, and then Sabathia, who could be counted as two, I suppose.

But who else? Was Rockin' Ronnie Torreyes an embrionic stowaway riding with the team's luggage? I used to be good at this stuff, but I'm drawing a complete blank. Yes, I can go look it up, but that only makes me feel older and more dotty.

Have a nice day basking in another beautiful Yankee win!

  8. David Robertson was on the 2009 Yankees ... he left for a while, and came back, but he would be the third guy.
