Cashman announces that Betances has inflammation and impingement in right shoulder. Will start year on injured list.

Betances will be treated with anti inflammatory medication. Yanks had been concerned because his velocity was down.

Cashman didn’t provide a timetable for Betances return. Said he doesn’t expect it to be a lengthy injury.

This team is as fragile as my Aunt Sadie's porcelain teapot. But the teapot pitches better.
