William Barr's wrap-up of yesterday's Yankee game

"Following a careful examination of Saturday's game between the Yankees and XXXXXXXX, this office has concluded that neither team was eliminated from the 2019 American League pennant race, and therefore, no final score is warranted. No criminal collusion with the owners  could be proven, though the Yankees were not completely exonerated."

    On July 30,1990, Commissioner Vincent banned George Steinbrenner for paying Howie Spira $40,000 to dig up "dirt" on Winfield. Hmmm, sounds a lot like that July 2016 Trump Tower meeting with the Russians. I wonder if Spira had a dossier he tried to peddle old George.

    Before Barr releases the full report on the Yankees and xxxxxxxx, I bet Hal gets to take a peek and invoke "Executive Privileges". We will never get to see the truth as it will be redacted to look like a package of swiss cheese slices.

    Oh, by the way, a great side note to the Dodgers-Diamondback game yesterday. John Ryan Murphy pitched for the Dbacks late in the game and got pasted, but Russell Martin pitched for the Dodgers and held Arizona to zilch.

    Yankees' former catchers getting some mound action. Whoo.

    Adam Schiff and Rachel Maddow aren't convinced. The Yankees might actually be eliminated. We simply don't have enough information yet. At a minimum, there seems to be compelling evidence that Cashman may have obstructed Yankees' fans desires to win the American League.
