So here is our manager, quoted in today's NY Times:
"We're always capable of going on a roll. That's a matter of time. That's a matter of us starting to click all together and getting some guys hot collectively the lineup and getting our pitchers settled in. Even banged up, I'm confident we can go on a run at any point."
How did this guy NOT end up in the diplomatic corps, obviously his true calling? This should be a standard, Foreign Service training lesson on how to say nothing.
Translation:
"Hey, we might get hot. Hot means a lot of guys playing and pitching well at the same time. So, that's possible even though we're injured."
Glad you straightened that out for us, Ma.
How about: "I've got to do a better job of anticipating situations and taking the game to the other team, and some of these guys need to wake the hell up if they don't want to find their asses back in Dunder Mifflin land."
