Newest Hope?

I got El Duque alone at an upstate bar the other day, and plied him with beer.

After about 5 hours, he began to reveal insights.

He thinks....make that hopes...that the Yankees may have a future quality pitcher in Trenton.  He is 19, named Garcia and idolizes Pedro Martinez ( what latino doesn't?).

"Hard to believe anyone is really 19", said Duque. 

And he is at AA already?

" Seriously, even if he is 22, it is bargain."

Have another Genny, Duque?  And a pepper meat stick?

" The thing is, the kid is really short ( 5'9" ?) but he has an enviable " spin rate."

Look, Duque, I am old enough to remember a guy like that and he won 30 games.  Bobby
Shantz ( I may be mis-spelling this ).  I don't recall anyone mentioning his spin rate, though.

Think this kid will be like Dwight Gooden and see the majors in his teenage years?
