  1. I’m enjoying this Traina interview. Johns magnificent and deserved arrogance really shines.

  3. Another thought on the last remaining connection to NYY glory years, a man going under the assumed name John “Sterling”... who the fuck does Tom Brady think he is? Tom vs Time? He’s only 42! John’s in his 80’s! Should have been Sterling vs Senescent

  4. I tried to watch Real Sports just now, nut I ended up having to reboot the cable box. You can take Time Warner out of the masthead, but you can't take it out of the same crap service as Spectrum.

  5. Wow, that's one mess of a sentence. But you know what I mean.

  6. Finally got it. Great segment, and Gumbel does his usual great job.

  7. Mookie looked less formidable when he doesn't know what pitch is coming.

  8. Sterling is the most craven suckup in the history of employer-employee relations. "Susan and I are two people who agree that Brian Cashmand and Hal Steinbrenner did the right thing. . . ." Relax, John. You've got the job next year if you want it. Now wipe Hal's and Brian's caca off your face already.

  9. Isn't John ALWAYS with us everywhere? Isn't that what we were taught in Sunday school?

  10. Sorry JM, you’ve are getting a three minute penalty for complimenting Bryant Gumbel

  11. If you want to fully understand the cultural impact of John Sterling, observe that even Supreme Court Justices dare not speak when John is calling a pitch. Personally, I always stop typing comments whenever he speaks.

  12. Let’s imagine that giant douche Bryant Gumbel was broadcasting this Yankee game, and Sotomayer dropped in... how many runs would score before Gumbel finished trying to show how smart he is?

  13. I like Gumbel because he is that smart. Liked him since the Today Show. We'll disagree on that one.

  14. I identify with that comment.

Tonight, Meyer's rum with club soda and a little bit of caffeine-free diet Coke and just amazingly tasty. And no carbs, not that I'm losing weight with the calories, but hell, I'm not getting fatter.

  15. Zack doing fine, but oh my God, Chapman is next. Jesus wept.

  16. Bombay Sapphire with a drop or two of vermouth. Very tasty.

You can't predict martinis, but it's fun to try.

  17. You really can't predict baseball.

    No win warble! WTF?

  18. Thuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh Yankees Win! ... cuz someone had to say it.

  19. Good win by the Yanks.

The Sterling segment on Real Sports was well done. Byrant looked like he enjoyed the interview.

  20. LETS US NOT FEAR!

THE HELL WITH THE TRADE DEADLINE.

THE MASTER WILL TAKE US TO THE PROMISED LAND THIS SEASON!

  21. Usually, some Plymouth gin with Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice for a nice gimlet.

But tonight, Sea Breezes with the wife: Stoli, grapefruit juice, cranberry juice. Not really a vodka guy, but it's good for a summer evening.

May have to keep drinking it after tonight's win. Almost ready to believe the Sox ARE stealing signs at Fenway. But they have a losing record there. As a great man once said...

  22. Best win of the year. No complaints.

Might be the second Natty DADDY talking.
