Six and a half: AARON F-----G JUDGE

  1. “What we’re seeing we will see game after game”. -John Sterling predicting baseball, just now.

  2. Made the mistake of going back to the commentary. Bad idea.

Tom Verducci second-guessing like crazy, blames everything on Baldelli pulling Berrios early, after 88 pitches, 3 walks and 4 hits in 4 innings. Nonsense.

And they even flashed a graphic on the "Nelson Cruz is the bestest postseason hitter" front. Apparently, he has the third highest slugging percentage in the postseason, after Ruth and Gehrig.

Again: Ruth and Gehrig did not play in the "postseason." They played in the World Series. Period.

  3. Stanton out for pinch runner—Maybin.

    Good.

If sends out Sancho to catch another inning, he should be horsewhipped.

  4. Roman should've started. Higgy should be on the roster.

  9. Costas doing his best Howard Cosell, being big and brave and talking about the pace of play and how few balls are in play.

What also doesn't help are the interminable ads his employers are running between every half-inning.

  10. Hoss,
Fourth best "post season" slugging was Dystra wasn't it?

    Sabr stat.

  11. Isn't Dykstra in jail for stock shenanigans?

I’d forgotten that Hitlerjugend Kepler plays for the Minnesota Zwillinge. Verdammter jelly donut!

    I fear Chapman… as I always do.

  13. This is a very good ballgame.

Except for Costas' relentless insistence that it's a bad ballgame.

    It's very, very good.

  14. What I don't understand is why, with their offense, Minnesota was basically conceding down 7-4, leaving Gibson out there come what may. Wouldn't you try to keep this one close, knowing how important it is?

  15. Who is Costas and which radio station is he on? Try WFAN instead, better announcers.

I think it was Costas who gave us the brilliant insight that "AnDUjar is on the shelf." I almost wish it were on YES!

  17. Austria, now I'll think of the Twins as decent kitchen knives for the rest of my life

  18. When the Twins took out their SP, one of these commentators said, "the Twins are betting they can beat the Yankees with their bullpen". Or something along those lines.

It was the tone in his voice, like, he actually hoped that would happen. What a dick!
