Despite his rock-hard name, Granite is a speed guy (25 SB) with no power (3 HR) and batted .290 last year at Triple A.
He's from Staten Island and attended Seton Hall. If he has relatives in Scranton, he'll win the Tri-fecta.

As for all these superstar coaches they've been signing. I'd love to see them turn sow's ears into Chanel Handbags. You are not going to turn Lyons into Ryans. Funnel some of that money into already reliable pitching, dammit!

ReplyDeleteYes, they were. In the 56 percent of games he played in the playoffs, they won, and while some might question just how much his 1 run scored, 1 home run, and 2 RBI might have to do with that, let's be generous and say they were huge.
That only leaves the other 44 percent of games in which he did NOT play. And the 89 percent of regular season games in 2019, in which he did not play.
An athlete's first responsibility is to get himself into condition to play. Giancarlo seems to feel that his first responsibility is to cut his physique to win a body sculpting competition. Nuff ced.
