  2. WOW! Jack Norwood! And look how vigorous he still was. I guess Albert von Tilzer, who wrote the music, was probably dead. They were both real, Tin Pan Alley troupers.

    And yeah, neither was a baseball fan. Norwood just got interested because he say so many people going up to the Polo Grounds for the great, 1908 NL pennant race, the one involving Merkle.

    Must be a great thing to live long enough to see that not one but two songs you wrote are universally popular and beloved.
