Rumors are circulating that Jeter's coming out of retirement to sign back on with the Yankees to play shortstop in 2022. Part of Derek's motivation - to put an end to all that "lack of range" crapola he's had to hear about again over these past few weeks . . . more to follow.
Well, you were right, nothing happened in Yankeeland, but I woke up to a new Mets outfield and a new INFer.
I don't necessarily think that they were great signings due to the players ages, but they did not sleep like our "crack team" of talent procurers did. Hopefully, the Mets crash and burn and their distress will ease ours.
