Yawn, Let us ballplayers bitch about something else.
My solution is to play him in every game in CF until he asks to come out and/or trade him to Pitt. in May so that he can play in the same outfield as Roberto C.
In the National League he can DH and not miss games over vaccinations. Actually, I would love to see him in Philly with a real manager which holds players responsible
Jackie Robinson has been bestowed with the greatest honors of any ball player - and deservedly so, for what he represents and achieved beyond his outstanding play on the field. I have no idea how Judge self-identifies and could care less. Let’s move on from any further narrative along these lines.
Maybin has been awful in the broadcast booth so far. Admittedly, age and a few hundred rock concerts have dulled my hearing, but I found it hard to understand what he was saying. Hopefully, his time here will be short.
I might be in the minority on Maybin as an announcer. Sure he has good verbal skills and he is new. But if I hear one more " he didn't try to do too much" or " he kept his hands back" cliche, I'm going to throw up.
I used to think judge was indispensable and untradable. Not so much anymore. Anybody who turns down $31 million a year is not indispensable or untradable. It would be interesting to see who we could get back for him and what the metrics on that tray would be. It’s a shame that the state of the Yankees has come to the point where we would as fans even think of training way our best player. So sad.
Maybin is extremely irritating. His voice and high school like commentary are not suited for an MLB caliber broadcast booth. Excellent as a player but not a good fit to call a major league NY area game.
I agree that Cameron Maybin should be short lived in the broadcast booth. He is more suited for the post game show. Please let this be his last and only season calling a game.

Yeah, this sounds to me like a manufactured controversy, if ever there were one.
ReplyDeleteOr Cameron might not have even told Kay that.

ReplyDeleteJudge should have played. He can rest during the teams's trip to Toronto. Maybe he can go to the Bahamas. I hear it's very nice there.
ReplyDeleteThey are all fucking fuck fuckers, as I've said.
