Dept of Eternal Hope: Jasson Dominguez went 5 for 8 yesterday in a doubleheader, and he is now leading the single-A Tampa Tarpons in batting

He's hot. And still 19.

Of regular CFs in the Florida State League, he's got the second highest batting average.

Why am I doing this to myself?

  1. Um, I believe that's now the Florida Complex League.

So complex, indeed, that only one player can hit over .261.

This game will be unwatchable before we're dead.

  2. Complex League, eh?
Maybe he should have been in the Simplex League? But not Herpes Simplex.

Seriously, hope he continues to improve and he's given the time to develop on his own.

  3. Donaldson suspended for one game - he has appealed. If he loses his appeal he'll spend his off day watching his favorite Quentin Tarantino film.

  4. Aren't there only two teams in that division?

  5. It's a long way from Single A to The Big leagues. Let's hope sooner rather than later.

  6. It’s his second time around at the same single a level and needed a 5-8 day to get UP to .261. Is he toast? Probably still too early to tell but he’s definitely not a top 100 prospect at this point
