Exactly! Doug is not only a terrific poster, but a great guy.
Benintendi, on the other hand, is someone...who will automatically miss the Yanks last series against Toronto in the regular season, and part of any playoff series against the BJs.
Great, that should make for wonderful clubhouse chemistry. And while it's nice he hits line drives...what happened to his power?
Florial and Andujar are doomed to play out the rest of their careers in the minors. Cashman won't give them any kind of real chance here, but he won't trade them either.

ReplyDeleteDOUG is rollicking naked in a field of flowers now
ReplyDeleteBUT BE WARNED
If Benintendi's knees give out and/or if he becomes lovers with Gallo - then Doug owes all of us here a five dollar bill as compensation.
Lettuce keep the trade deadline going - NOW in an ever increasingly dramatic fashion.
Go Yankeez
Apparently we are out in Castillo, hopefully we don't decide starting pitching isn't a need because it is. Soto looks to be a pipe dream as well
ReplyDeleteI didn't want Benditend ah whatever. I want castillio and soto
ReplyDeleteThat said, better than Gallo
Ok maybe you're not rollicking naked in the flowers but this IS only the beginning of the solution
ReplyDeleteNo personal attacks please. Thank you.
ReplyDeletewow - it is unfortunate that these attacks are going on - please stop

And meanwhile, what happens to Florial and Andujar? Anything?
ReplyDelete3 homeruns and a .788 OPS. Yawn. Not going to move the needle much.
ReplyDeleteGood move. Who on this blog, is driving Gallo to the airport?
ReplyDeleteWe are still very much after Castillo. In a playoff series he'd be more important than even Soto.....
ReplyDeleteThat is the safe move...that doesn't insure a WS...

ReplyDeleteI would be happy to have Benny, who never played for the Jets, or Ralph Kiner-Falafel at bat any day of the week. They hit the ball. They get hits.
ReplyDeleteWe have the home run guys already. We need hitters.
That said, I still think we need pitchers ever more, and nothing happening on that yet.
What I fear is that one month after coming here, Bend-tend-i will develop leg problems that will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

ReplyDelete@Doug K: I always spell his name by thinking that "Benintendi" sounds like the Italian for "Good Intentions" (Ben Intendi).
As in, the road to hell is paved with ....
