If only we had a home grown starting pitcher, a lefty maybe, someone young and talented in the midst of a career year, so we didn't have to grab this lumpen Triple A trash-heap reject to fill a hole in the rotation.

Okay....drastic times call for drastic measures. So I'm going to take one for the team. I live live fairly close to Stamford. Therefore, Crashman's next rappelling stunt down the side of that tall building on Tresser Blvd. will be attempted with ropes that has been tampered with. Like what Dudley Nightshade or Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale would do.
Bullwinkle: "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a competent relief pitcher out of my hat." Rocky: "Oh no, not again!" Bullwinkle: "Presto.....nothing up my sleeve. Yikes-Tanyon Sturtze! I definitely need a new hat!" Rocky: "And now here's something we hope you'll really like...."
