  1. Mr Stang - I just checked the KOOLAID website as Mr Bit suggested and I couldn’t find them there so I have clue who they are.

  2. THEY are definitely not on the koolaid site.

    THEY are the real deal.

THEY are players I could believe in as a young boy and not be crushed.

    THEY are heroes.

  3. Gerrit Cole bobblehead night? I thought Gerrit Cole WAS a bobblehead.

  4. JM-

    It's a special bobble-head.

The head doesn't shake until it gets a bad call. Then it goes berserk.

  5. Like Jello.

If Gleyber had managed to catch that on the short hop, Mullins is out. Instead...

  6. German's postseason audition not going so well.

  7. Stanton should very obviously not be on the postseason roster, certainly the first round. Which means they will of course put him on the first round roster.

  8. The hitter friendly ump just punched out a guy on two balls called strikes.

  9. JM,

Don't know who said it, but I'm hoping for the play him until he breaks method of getting Stanton on the DL for the entire playoffs.

  10. If they play Hicks over this kid they would have to be insane.

  11. Thanks For bringing out Britton, it was the obvious choice there

  12. Britton looking like Britton...another do not sign in off-season...

  14. There will be a retirement party for Zach Britton at The Dugout, 880 River Avenue, to begin as soon as he’s showered and suitably dressed.

  15. Hey he worked hard to come back and overall he was good for us. He's also, I believe, is the union rep so he's a good teammate. It's a tough break for him.

  16. Britton deserves a better exit.

  17. And the geezers in the booth are reminiscing and telling kids how lucky they are.

Only, there aren’t any kids watching.

  18. 13bit, you are absolutely right. I made a cheap joke. I'm in awe of Maris and Ruth and Hehrig and Mantle and DiMaggio, and I'm thrilled to see Judge join that group in my lifetime.

  19. Hey, don’t knock cheap jokes. They are a mainstay of comedy and it’s purpose is to keep the sanctimonious in check.

  20. Remember Rule #62: never take yourself too damn seriously.

  23. odor looks like he's wearing a disguise.

  24. New York fans doing the wave is just fucking embarrassing.

  25. Odor looks like a large example of dwarfism.

  26. Or a soldier from the Ottoman Empire.

  27. I also like a cheap joke. That's one reason I'm still a Yankee fan in these, the darkest Yankee days since 1903.

  28. Doug:

I had a hardy chuckle when I read Judge should bunt.

    Excellent!

  29. Nice call on Gleyber, JM.

An error to Trevino, but of course he should have easily gloved that ball. Instead, the game turned on the fact that he could not nab an easy one-hop toss to second.

The sort of attention span that Gleyber will turn into key, postseason losses for us.

  30. HC, glad that you mentioned that play. When it happened, and nobody in the booth said anything I figured that I must have been off-base (sorry, sorry). And right you are, making that kind of mistake is poison in the playoffs....
