  6. Guessing OP comes on for Hicks as an injury replacement on the roster...question is will he get ABs over the Ironer IKF (bc he presses) in the ALCS with OC in Left, or does management preserve Marwin the Wartian in LF given his veteran experience (at hitting 190) and keep OC at short...hope they dont get too drunk tonight.

  7. As I sit down to a tasty evening meal - already quite sated by a wonderful yankees series win/appetizer I can't help but not ask the following questions:

-> How does one beat Verlandia?

--> How effective with Jameson T be?

---> Which airline will Peraza be flying to Houston?

  9. I pray for a A.A. Ron Hicksie injury to last until the new year.

I've heard of tennis elbow. Is there a thing for golfers' elbow?

  10. Strange that an old, tired team such as the Yankees could outlast the young, spry Guardians and Rays. But then again, those nineties dynasty teams had quite a number of older players. The Truth often stays hidden by the New Narrative.

  11. Did the BABIP gods ever shine more brightly than on the Guardians? Damned lucky to escape that curse!

  12. listening in the car yesterday, I noticed something I never heard from John Sterling before. He was tripping over some words and just plain skipping some others. Several times. and if I'm not mistaken, Suzyn jumped in at least once with the word he was searching for, sort of like what you do when an old, beloved relative is having a tough time finishing his sentences.

  13. Parson Tom,
I don't know what the hell .... ..... forgot what I was going to say.
    Clearly you are a , a, a, whippersnapper.

    Get off my lawn!!!!

P.S., there is only one alternative to getting old.

I would have answered sooner but I forgot how to prove, "I'm not a robot."

  14. I heard that as well Parson Tom,,, The Master also kept saying it was 4-1 when it was 5-1, and called Rizzo Rizzuto, which was bound to happen. He's still THE MASTER and my shining star, but age is increasingly creeping into his broadcast.

  15. He referred to rizzo as rizzuto. He just plain didn't hear Susan about Cleveland's new catcher.

    Still a good broadcast.

Though his harping on the soft hits misses the basic point that Cleveland does not strike out and puts the ball in play

    1. Absolutely, Ceeja. Still a good listen. Sterling may not be perfect but he's ours.
