Let me be the first to say, Welcome Back Boys of Summer. No matter what we think of the the three Dolts in charge, It's Opening Day again and we are all alive to witness it.
And we let Rafael go and sent Calhoun to Scranton but signed Franchy Cordero, who sucked for the O's but had a really good Spring, and kept Florial, who sucked for us but had a really bad Spring.
Almost every team wins 60 games and loses 60 games, and the season comes down to what a team does in the other 40 or so. If we get off to a slow start (so many injuries) I don't want Yankee management to say "well, it's early" because statistically, it is all the same.
Yep, mlk is right. I hate when the brass and the idiot commentators say "it's early" because every game matters. Though you'd never know it by Boone's approach.
Sunny in the city today, but the high only supposed to be mid-40s and there is a little bit of wind out there. The Giants will feel like they're playing at home.

ReplyDeleteSunny up here in the hill country, little bit of snow, 21 when I took the girl to school this morning. Baseball weather!
For more Opening Day music, might I suggest “All Future and No Past” by The Baseball Project, the greatest baseball-themed alt-rock band of all time.
