Josh Donaldson has played in 5 games this season.
He said he was feeling chipper. Almost ready to return from his 10day visit to the IL.
Then, he had an MRI.
Now he is back on the IL " for an undetermined amount of time."
He and Stanton will be playing donkey kong on the patio for 6 weeks or more.
No matter how many times we fans have said, " don't give big money contracts to old veterans, whose days in the sun have long expired," Cashman, like a junkie, just can't stop doing it.
He makes the Yankees a failed franchise.
Soon enough, he'll have another trade deadline during which he will feel compelled to correct his earlier mistakes.
By trading prospects for old guys.
Find another sport, mates.
Judge is good at baseball.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Volpe get a hit...getting close to the Mendoza line...
ReplyDeleteJudge!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Volpe dancing around 1st distracted the pitcher so he fell behind Judge and had to groove one.
ReplyDeleteProps all around.
Correction: Judge is really good at baseball.
ReplyDeleteVolpe do got some serious wheels, Doug K. Serious wheels.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Volpe's prowess as a base stealer. He is fast and he has skills.

The saving grace is the next salary cap threshold, which Steinbrenner does not want to cross. We currently have only about $3M to spend in additional salary. That’s why you are watching the Willie Calhoun and French Corderos of the world.
ReplyDeleteRe: Donaldson + Cordero, how ‘bout a big round of applause for cashmanππππππππππππ
Volpe will really expand our LOB numbers. He walks a lot and then steals a base or two. Then gets stranded.
ReplyDeleteIt's the Yankee way.
Sorry, meant Rodon not Cordero in my above screed..
ReplyDeleteWe have two runs.
ReplyDeleteAnybody else here who had been relying on MLB.tv for several seasons but now finds that a large percentage of Yankee games are blacked out. I don't even know where one goes to find the games, which are obviously out-of-market here in Georgia.
ReplyDeleteJust another example of these greedy MFers trying to squeeze us all for more, while refusing to field an excellent team because it would cost too much.
BTR, I think any one of us could field a properly competitive Yankees lineup and keep it under the salary cap. Because Cashman is an idiot of biblical proportions. And is actively sabotaging the franchise to satisfy that whiny little rich boy Hal.
ReplyDeleteJoey Gallo is off the injured list, hitting .278 with three homers and seven RBIs in seven games. Maybe Cashman could trade a few prospects for him?
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThe heck with Gallows. Can we get JP Sears back from the Oaklands? His ERA is 4.60 in 15 innings (3 starts) so far in '23.
...this pitching thing might be improved with him as a starter, ya know?
Man this team reminding me of the Almonte Wells and Pronk days
ReplyDeleteI know Stanton is not particularly loved around here, but for fuck sake Willie Calhoun is our DH tonight!
ReplyDeleteCashman should be embarrassed by the product on the field this early
ReplyDeleteToo bad the Yankees couldn't find a guy like Urshela to play 3rd.
ReplyDeleteThat rbi was more painful than suffering a migraine because an elephant sat on your head
ReplyDeleteHolmes is an arsonist!
ReplyDelete@ Parson Tom....buy an IPTV streaming box that will give you 10,000 channels including all sports teams. Or subscribe to an IPTV streaming service that will do the same.
ReplyDeleteOur hopes for this game lie on the unathletic should of Willie Fucking Calhoun.
ReplyDeleteAnd now IKF with his .120 batting average will be our pinch hitter.
ReplyDeleteI cannot watch another inning of this. Good night Commentariat. Good night.
ReplyDeleteFuck Hal.
ReplyDeleteOkay. Fine. The fucking Yankees uh uh uh uh won this shitty game.
ReplyDeleteFuck Hal.
thanks, Carl. i'll look into it.
ReplyDeleteMy headache is going away…..
ReplyDeleteIt will come back when you realize that a a ron and the glassman are still on the roster and ca$hole is still the gm.
ReplyDeleteAnd I forgot about Jackie Donaldson. Now my head hurts.
ReplyDeleteAll right, glass half-full: some nice clutch pitching tonight. Johnny Brito much better, King strong, Peralta had some bad luck but put down Ersatz Babe Ruth, and Holmes recovered.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'm glad we kept Aaron Judge.
HC66, I think, really loves Ohtani and can't wait for Cashman to sign him to a twenty-five-year contract. All this petty sniping is just a reaction formation against his true love.
ReplyDeleteAs Cashman does, the Yankees are!
