Friends, Romans, Countrymen...

Some thought it was his shoulder.

Others, his hand.

I thought it a wrist.

Egads.  To be a hip?

How can his hip be hurting from a bad slide on a needless steal of third base?

Or did it derive from repeated belly flops in CF to catch low line drives?

Is it because he was playing a position he was never meant to play?

Is it because Hicks' career ended years ago, but not his contract?

Is this another Cashman wreck?

Is this Bo Jackson redux?

  1. Horrible situation. One we could see coming a mile away, but for some reason, Cashman has been blind to all of it. We have two starting pitchers with no closer Judge should not be playing center field - period. Too much running for too large a body. Hicks should have been released a long time ago. Donaldson is a joke, Giancarlo Stanton has his butt permanently on the IL. Why can we earn zero dollars but see this all so clearly but Brian Cashman earns $10 million for this garbage? Something has to change!

  2. "Steroids, particularly at higher doses for long periods of time, can sometimes lead to damage to bones, called aseptic necrosis (also known as osteonecrosis or avascular necrosis). This can happen in a number of joints, but the hip is the most common."

  3. How about tonight's lineup. It's a doozy. Against deGrom. The palest of flags. Real problem is, would it look much better with Volpe, Trevino and IKF inserted for one of the Oswalds, Hicks, and Higgy? What an organization.

  4. Yup, it's Anthony Volpe's 22nd birthday. He's young, he's hot, he's 22 so OF COURSE BOONE SITS HIM! Give us a break! Who makes up this crap?

  5. 1. Now that he’s 22, he’s subject to Load Management

    2. he et too much B-day Cake.

    3. Or maybe with de Grom pitching they’re just writing the game off.

    Take your Pick

  6. It’s hip to be square. It’s sad when people the Jake Bauers has been activated. Have we really sunk that low?

  7. @ mik....Sure, a lot has to change. But you know what WILL change? Not a fucking thing!

  8. deGrom blew through the Yankees in 9 pitches in the first. I guess they don’t care about this game either.

  9. I am going to ignore the horror of the Bo Jackson remark and instead ask why does Schmidt suck so very badly. Not from a analytics standpoint, speak not of velo or spin rate, but rather from a personal moral failing standpoint?

  10. Cordero looked like a little leaguer on that last hit. Totally misjudged the ball then stood there and watched the ball sail over his head. This game already a total shit show. DeGrom only needed 17 pitches to get 6 outs. Way to work the count. This game not worth watching

  11. Top of the third and this is over already. Not to be pessimistic, more like realistic. Started The Man In The Gray Flannel Suit last night, think I'll check out, go on upstairs with my dog, read a bit.

  12. Gee, who would guess it? What a joke! Meanwhile, we may get no-hit by DeGrom

Bonehead buffoon baboon hates Yankee fans.

  14. At least the Giants got a good player in R2.

  15. deGrom hurt (again) Quick, trade what’s left of our farm system for him.

  17. I prefer the term man-boobs.

Not that it is any more anatomically correct.

    Fun fact about man-boobs:

Both Sam bankjob-Fried and Sam Brinton lived in the same dorm at the same time at MIT.

Not sure if they exchanged ladies' undergarments.

  18. Suzyn tells us that Nestor Cortes was kicking ass today at ping pong… right handed.

  19. Well that was a fun game…NOT

How in the hell did Cordero not get charged with an error on that fly ball he butchered?

After the game boone was asked about Judge. He was stammering and stuttering like Mel Tillis after oral surgery, but finally managed to spit out “…I don’t know” Thanks for that, you 🤬

  20. They're still waiting on the MRI. Me, I'm just waiting on a friend.

  21. HC66, I'm waiting for Godot.

That was a trifecta. Bad SP, bad defense and 4 guys batting under .200.

There is no reason in any universe to have Hicks and Franchy on your team.

We have become the the team of my LL days with Cole staring as Mel S.
Problem is, we have no Bobby Mercer or Roy White coming to give us hope.

  22. @ BTR....Giants have had a good draft so far because a competent GM is now running the show rather than "Gefilte Fish" Gettleman. Or Jerry Reese, for that matter.

  23. They should've designated Hicks. They're going to have him rot on the roster until his contract finally expires. What can you do, except laugh?
