You Want The Truth?

Here is the truth.  Ugly and direct.

When the Yankees use Cabrera to pinch hit for anyone, in a tight game moment, the yankees have given up.

Cheers.

  7. How you feeling, AA? You nervous? Sitting/standing in the same way? We're counting on you to bring this through.

  9. A little over 20 years ago, my brother and I were planning a trip to the stadium for a game. Being a Yankees history buff, I wanted to go to Yogi Berra Day. My brother insisted that he had no interest in seeing the Expos, the Yankees’ opponent that day, because they sucked and he wanted to see the Yankees play a real team. So, we went to another game.

As you probably remember, Yogi Berra Day was the day David Cone threw his perfect game.

I still remind my brother about this.

  12. I remember, BernBaby.

My terrific brother-in-law is a Twins fan, so I got to see Wells pitch his perfecto in 1998. I kept score. Still have the scorecard and program.

  21. AA, I think this is all due to you. Their confiscation of your sign turned the karma.

  22. Tonight was kind of strange. I was doing work, had the game on but kind of casually watching. It wasn’t until the 7th inning when I heard Ruocco (or whoever it was) say “that’s 20 up and 20 down for Domingo German!” that I was like, “wait, what?” and fully focused on the game.

  23. Well, as badly as Cashole has screwed this team, at least we will have this amazing moment in Yankee history to look back and enjoy. Nestled among all the sub .225 batting averages this may be the bright spot in the season. We will have the 24th and 4th perfect game in MLB history!! Congrats everyone, keep this one close to your heart because it will most likely be the highlight of the season

  24. Roller Coaster Career of German?
Hopefully not the last memorable highlight of this season, but at least we have this.
    Good job AA!
