Starting Severino ridiculous. DFA him and German. Does no one have pair of balls in this organization? Cashman doesn’t, or else he would resign, every fucking thing is a dysfunctional mess. Rizzo. German. Trading Deadline. The lack of communication. The confusion. The lack of vision. These things are all the GM’s responsibility. I read a story that security was following a guy around because he had a “Fire Cashman” banner. So much for free speech.
Aww, I was hoping Chance Adams was for real, Archie. What a great name, huh? And he had a terrific Triple-A year, as I recall. only to disappear, like so many others...
Back to our losing ways… Didn’t see the game, I don’t do Apple. No Judge ‘til PH role. Of course he fanned. A joke of a starting pitcher. Are they gonna trot him out in another 5 days?
We've reached the point where players who will not be with the club next year should sit 75% or so of the time. Play the "kids" who are judged to be mentally tough enough to get their brains beat in without going to pieces. Find out if Florial is a rare late bloomer. Find out what their young middle infielders can do. Bring in their more promising pitchers and put them at the back of the bullpen, the low stress spots. Along with the rest of you guys, I think having a quarter of the roster filled with AAAA+ players on a team with the Yankees' revenue stream to be appalling, worse, an insult to the fans. Growing up in Miami during da y Dolphins' Golden Years I naturally became a a rabid fan (sorry, but man, the Jets were so fucking great they earned my hatred). Just like the Yankees, mistakes and hubris finally caught up with them for decades. Life's changes, moving out of Miami found me jumping ship, the NFL has.lost a fan.
Who owes the greater debt, the fans or the owners? I have reached the age where time is the most important commodity. I have drawn an vague line in the sand, my disposable time will not be consumed by ownership who's sole product isn't being delivered. As I write these words I FULLY UNDERSTAND what bothers me so much about Hal. That a wealthy man can without any sense of fairness should be so arrogant as to scold his customers that they should be content with his stewardship. Hell, he spent a kings' ransom on payroll. The BALLS ON THAT MAN!!!!!
@ BTR...Definitely fire Cashman! With Sevy, I believe it's all in his head, not his arm. No pitcher loses it that quickly. He is still throwing over 95, so he seems physically fine. I'd bet that the coaches/analytics group, after a few mediocre outings, have tried to change the way he pitches. Even though he only has 2 months left on his contract, a smart organization would do as the Blue Jays did with Alek Manoah and send him to the A level in the minors for a few weeks and break down his entire game forensically, correct any flaw, and then return him to the starting 5. But the Bloated Front Office is the worst group of team executives in the world.

Stang thanks for telling me about the radio button. Big improvement!
ReplyDeleteWhy is this man on the mound for the Yankees. Seriously how many games is Sevi going to take us out of in the first inning?
ReplyDeleteAnd only three runs down.
ReplyDelete“Did you see the catch he maded”
ReplyDeleteHe said Maded. The Master’s brain misfired.
Just tuned in. Oy gevalt.
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ, Severino is awful.
ReplyDeleteLook at the bright side……
ReplyDeleteMany news outlets said today we’ve inched closer to nuclear war
John is in fine form!
ReplyDeleteWell, that should do it. 7-2, no chance.
ReplyDeleteStang - I don’t know what they’re paying you but I vote that they double it! Twice.

I’m beginning to think that none of us are going to get any socks or Bentleys.
ReplyDeleteDamn.

I certainly hear you about time, Kevin. Not enough of it to waste on a GM who can't decided if he should buy or sell at the trading deadline.
ReplyDeleteIt is time for sleep

Allow me to quote Spock by saying….
