Not watching, but impressed that Stanton made it home from third on less than a triple.
I wish that he would have ruptured his achilles doing it. Or maybe a career ending head-first slide. Or maybe trip down the dugout steps and rupture both MCLs, ACLs, and UCLs.
Kinda nice to see some inspired baseball being played by the Yankees. It's almost as if they think (in some multi-verse) that they are playing for something. Forgive me, it seems like years since...
If we win every game from now on, we'll end up with 93 wins.
That would be hysterical. Impossible, but hysterical.
We can only imagine what this season would have been like if Judge didn't stub his toe on the stupid concrete in LA. Can we sue them? It looks like he might have equaled or bettered last year's home run total.

Six kids!
ReplyDeleteWell, I thought sure Booooone would bat the Martian cleanup, but given that he’s on diaper duty today, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised he’s third.
ReplyDeleteGiancarlo made it home from third on a hit!!
ReplyDeleteHey! The Big Hamburger and the Kids generated a rally and scored two runs! That's amazing. And then Sevy coughed them right up!. That's predictable.
ReplyDeleteAll Rise! All Rise!
ReplyDelete65 pitches in two innings. Say goodnight Sevy
ReplyDeleteShoot. My feed is about two minutes behind live!
ReplyDeleteThat was some shot
ReplyDeleteSuzyn says today's line up is the youngest fielded by the Yankees since 1969. Mercer was in that line up.
ReplyDeleteGO GO LITTLE TONY!! GO!!
ReplyDeleteVolpe's wRC+ is up into the low 90s.
Dick,

I mean a guy can dream, can't he?
Yankees Run on Duncan*
ReplyDelete* except Stanton
And Sevy gets out of the fourth with 104 pitches. What is wrong with this kid?
ReplyDeleteComing to a stadium near you:
ReplyDeleteJudge and the seven dwarves
Because Stanton is the invisible man
Another rally?? Double steal??? Retaking the lead??
ReplyDeleteHOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO ROOT AGAINST THIS!!???
Who are these guys? This is too fun. It needs to stop!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stiff
ReplyDeleteGary Sanchez has 19 home runs? How? Where? A beer league?
ReplyDeleteBrito didn't give up a run. What is going on?
ReplyDeleteWhat? The? Unholy? Fuckedy? Fuck? Is? Going? On?
You know, this could actually make September YANKEES baseball required watching. Instead of old and stiff, we got kids.
ReplyDeleteThink of it: No Hicks (remember him?), no Donaldson (how quickly can we forget?), no Bader, and, well, we still have that big expensive stuff.
But this is hopeful. Even just a little bit hopeful is better than what we started out with. Maybe we can call up a new GM?
Hit 'em when they're up
ReplyDeleteHit 'em when they're down
Clay Coming In
ReplyDeleteGentlemen, Place your Betz
Harkey was just signaling that Mr Holmes needed a drink before heading into the game.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to determine what they poured in his cup?
Strawberry Quick?
Bourbon?
Castor Oil?
Doesn’t anybody choke up on the bat with two strikes anymore?
ReplyDeleteHolmes might be the worst fielding pitcher in the bigs
ReplyDeleteYankees win…
ReplyDeleteTank has been put on hold…
ReplyDeleteSweet. First time I’ve enjoyed a game in…

ReplyDelete"this will give all those damn, cry baby fans a sense of hope - that is until I destroy everything during the off season"
ReplyDeleteDon't lose your heads people.
ReplyDeleteRemember, the goal for the season is Ca$hole is fired.
Nu-uh. I am NOT falling for this. NO.
ReplyDeleteHoping The Intern gets fired is akin to waiting for Godot.
ReplyDeleteAin’t happening. We’re stuck with the incompetent weasel and his equally incompetent owner.
If we win every game from now on, we'll end up with 93 wins.
