A fine effort by Gil wasted. Judge was particularly lethargic. Perhaps he’d fare better playing CF; he is rapidly returning to his April malaise. Vertigo and Volpe continue to provide awful at bats.
We will lose both series this week against the O’s and Rays and Boone will continue to gaslight the fawning media.

El Chapo, fill-in closer for the Pirates, trying to hold a 9th-inning lead against the Mets.
ReplyDelete—Walked the first hitter.
—Let up a single to Bader.
—Now 3-2 on Ventos,
Ah, good old Sweats!
Men on first and third, two outs, four full counts, one wild pitch...

Bases loaded for Lindor!
Ah, poor Pirates fans. I keep thinking of that Randy Newman song:

And Lindor hits a two-run single.
ReplyDelete"I just want you to hurt like I do
Honest I do
Honest I do
Honest I do..."
Hoss has his groove on

Gil should be our closer. He looks like a closer. Throws hard like a closer.
ReplyDeleteAlso, These announcers totally suck.
Fucking Devers.

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing worse than an ESPN telecast. It’s aimed at backward caps wearing meatheads of all ages
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, the team keeps cutting at the first pitch. Must have dinner reservations, Hey, if they don’t give a shit why should we?
At least, Gil pitched better tonight… maybe Matt Blake did something?
ReplyDeleteGil did really well. Now our hitters just have to figure out Cy Young.
ReplyDeleteDriving back up the coast so no text inputting whilst driving
ReplyDeleteAh.
ReplyDeleteSoto doubles with no outs and doesn't score. Unbelievable.
