In today's Daily Murdoch, Booooone was once again proving his worth as a manager about his benching of Gleyber:
“He is an enormous part of this team, a key cog in what we’re doing,” Boone said from The Bronx before Saturday’s second game of the series. “As I’ve told him, if we’re going to get to where we want to go, he’s an important part of that.”
I miss the days when a player would get benched days for doing something stupid like admiring his single.
Meanwhile, the weirdness continues: Flopsy Vertigo puts in ANOTHER 0-5 as leadoff man. And no at-bats for DJ, who IS well enough to play the field. I do not get this.

ReplyDeleteCan we please for fuck’s sake get Verdugo out of the leadoff spot?
ReplyDelete@Dick Allen: Did Boone mean 'key cog' or 'key clog', as in the wad of dirty toilet paper clogging up my drain? If the latter, I heartily agree.
ReplyDeleteHe is the opposite of championship material.
Can't wait till we get rid of Gleybor. Of course we all know that he will go from there to become a HOFer....
