Prior to today’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves: • Returned RHP Clarke Schmidt (#36) from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list. • Returned RHP Ian Hamilton (#71) from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list. Optioned Ron Marinaccio to AAA Scranton. • Designated RHP Phil Bickford for assignment. • Designated RHP Nick Burdi for assignment.
Schmidt looking good so far. Cortes is only useable in blowouts. Cole, Gil, Schmidt, Rodent...if only we could get rid of Stroman. At least I can feel pretty good about the first three for the playoffs.
Well, the Cubs have been red hot, especially their offense. Our pitching smothered them in the first two games. On the other hand Judge and Soto, well let's just say, "it's not what you want". Hopeful optimism, or time to gnash teeth or gouge out the eyeballs?
LOL - Don't listen to her...I couldn't name one song of hers...
Not to worry abt me...I just have my ear to the ground on stuff...like that piece of bizarre news. Oh and a aside, do they have over/unders on how many times TayTay is on screen during a Chiefs game? FFS.

Pretty funny!
ReplyDeleteWho gets custody of the kids?
ReplyDeleteToday's lineup would be good if it said Dominguez instead of Vertigo.

Don’t know what happened to Judge man, but he has been awful.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Judge needs a magic back rub from Suzyn . . . .
ReplyDelete😬
DeleteI'm sure she's more than willing. Judge, maybe not so much.
DeleteI'm thinking the Yankees would be better off with NO hitting coaches. Go old school and replace the hitting coach with the "liniment" coach.
Isn't there someone else they could DFA and keep Marinaccio? Jesus, has that guy been jerked around.
ReplyDeleteCortes in the bullpen. God Almighty, we just got rid of one stiff out there in Bickford, and we put another stiff in his place.
ReplyDeleteI got no problem with Cortes in the bullpen. Innings eater when you need it. Saves the rest of the staff, which unfortunately isn't worth saving.

ReplyDeleteAssuming we make it.
I detect lots of damage control in the booth today…
ReplyDeleteWells nailed Swanson there. Nice throw.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Ranger. It's noticeable.
ReplyDeleteFlaherty just snapped at Kay - and verdugo simply has no brains
ReplyDeleteSuzyn called out Vertigo.
DeleteSomeone remind me how Vertigo gives us the best chance of winning…
ReplyDeleteWells has improved defensively…
ReplyDeleteSoto no defendo.
ReplyDeleteWalky Walkie
ReplyDeleteSuzyn’s birthday. Today. Coleslaw’s 34th tomorrow. It’s all so exciting!
ReplyDeleteStanton tiny steps it outta the batter’s box on that warning track fly ball. Sheesh
ReplyDeleteI have the distinct feeling that this lead is not sustainable.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not. But I'm glad we have Rizzo, Hamilton, Gil, and Schmidt back. The problem now is some of the guys who are still here.
ReplyDelete✅
DeleteLaunch angle doesn't seem to be working with the wind blowing in. Too bad the Yankees' brain(less)trust doesn't understand situational hitting.
ReplyDeleteRizzO ‘s brain looks fully healed-Yay
ReplyDeleteExit Velo on Can’tRun’s double play was…..who f@ckin’ cares!
ReplyDeleteNestor still in there. Lucky the Cubs can't hit.
ReplyDeleteIf Boone takes Nestor out and replaces him with “Claybor our closer” he should be forced to eat 500 Chicago dogs and then be drawn and quartered
ReplyDeleteBut it's so Boonesian.
ReplyDeleteIf the pitchers hold every team we play to zero runs, we could run the table.
ReplyDeleteThat’s sound logic, JM.
DeleteYankees Win!!!
ReplyDeleteCortes uses his butt for the put out
ReplyDeleteImprov kind of guy.
ReplyDeleteWinny Winny Winny……..WINNY?!?
ReplyDeleteI’ll fill in………
ReplyDeleteTHHHHHHHHHHHHAH YANKEEEEEEEEEEEEZE WEEEEEEEEEEEEN!
ReplyDeleteGood Pitching
ReplyDeleteGood Meat
Good God

ReplyDeleteWell Kevin, Cole goes tomorrow. The Cubs may still have a chance.
DeleteWait, the Yankees actually won a series? How'd that happen?
ReplyDeleteClayber the Closer didn't come in for a perfect dozen
DeleteI listened to the radio feed.
ReplyDeleteDid Bighead say he was filing for divorce?
Should I read page 6 of the daily Murdoch tomorrow for deets?
Maybe they will divorce, just like Travis and TayTay breaking up on September 28th...smh
ReplyDeleteRanger, I'm a little worried about you.
DeleteI turned to Google to get the reference. Now I'm stupider than I was 10 minutes ago.
How is it that you know these things?
I was always under the impression that you liked *good* music.
I am so confused 😕
