  1. Today's lineup would be good if it said Dominguez instead of Vertigo.

  2. From the NYY PR DEPT:

Prior to today’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:
    • Returned RHP Clarke Schmidt (#36) from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list.
    • Returned RHP Ian Hamilton (#71) from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list.
Optioned Ron Marinaccio to AAA Scranton.
    • Designated RHP Phil Bickford for assignment.
    • Designated RHP Nick Burdi for assignment.

  3. Don’t know what happened to Judge man, but he has been awful.

  4. Maybe Judge needs a magic back rub from Suzyn . . . .

    1. I'm sure she's more than willing. Judge, maybe not so much.

I'm thinking the Yankees would be better off with NO hitting coaches. Go old school and replace the hitting coach with the "liniment" coach.

  5. Isn't there someone else they could DFA and keep Marinaccio? Jesus, has that guy been jerked around.

  6. Cortes in the bullpen. God Almighty, we just got rid of one stiff out there in Bickford, and we put another stiff in his place.

    1. I got no problem with Cortes in the bullpen. Innings eater when you need it. Saves the rest of the staff, which unfortunately isn't worth saving.

  7. Schmidt looking good so far. Cortes is only useable in blowouts. Cole, Gil, Schmidt, Rodent...if only we could get rid of Stroman. At least I can feel pretty good about the first three for the playoffs.

    Assuming we make it.

  8. I detect lots of damage control in the booth today…

  9. Wells nailed Swanson there. Nice throw.

  10. Yeah, Ranger. It's noticeable.

  11. Flaherty just snapped at Kay - and verdugo simply has no brains

  12. Someone remind me how Vertigo gives us the best chance of winning…

  13. Suzyn’s birthday. Today. Coleslaw’s 34th tomorrow. It’s all so exciting!

  14. Stanton tiny steps it outta the batter’s box on that warning track fly ball. Sheesh

  15. I have the distinct feeling that this lead is not sustainable.

  16. Maybe not. But I'm glad we have Rizzo, Hamilton, Gil, and Schmidt back. The problem now is some of the guys who are still here.

  17. Launch angle doesn't seem to be working with the wind blowing in. Too bad the Yankees' brain(less)trust doesn't understand situational hitting.

  18. RizzO ‘s brain looks fully healed-Yay

  19. Exit Velo on Can’tRun’s double play was…..who f@ckin’ cares!

  20. Nestor still in there. Lucky the Cubs can't hit.

    ReplyDelete
  21. If Boone takes Nestor out and replaces him with “Claybor our closer” he should be forced to eat 500 Chicago dogs and then be drawn and quartered

    ReplyDelete
  22. If the pitchers hold every team we play to zero runs, we could run the table.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Cortes uses his butt for the put out

  24. THHHHHHHHHHHHAH YANKEEEEEEEEEEEEZE WEEEEEEEEEEEEN!

  25. Good Pitching

  26. Well, the Cubs have been red hot, especially their offense. Our pitching smothered them in the first two games. On the other hand Judge and Soto, well let's just say, "it's not what you want". Hopeful optimism, or time to gnash teeth or gouge out the eyeballs?

    1. Well Kevin, Cole goes tomorrow. The Cubs may still have a chance.

  27. Wait, the Yankees actually won a series? How'd that happen?

  28. I listened to the radio feed.

Did Bighead say he was filing for divorce?

Should I read page 6 of the daily Murdoch tomorrow for deets?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Maybe they will divorce, just like Travis and TayTay breaking up on September 28th...smh

    1. Ranger, I'm a little worried about you.
I turned to Google to get the reference. Now I'm stupider than I was 10 minutes ago.

How is it that you know these things?

I was always under the impression that you liked *good* music.

      I am so confused 😕

  30. LOL - Don't listen to her...I couldn't name one song of hers...

Not to worry abt me...I just have my ear to the ground on stuff...like that piece of bizarre news. Oh and a aside, do they have over/unders on how many times TayTay is on screen during a Chiefs game? FFS.
