  2. 1-4, killer lineup. 5-9, hoo boy. Maybe Berti and Vertigo can do something.

  4. On the other hand, it will be interesting to see if Glassman maintains his hitting now that he's been moved up to a position of greater expectations

  5. Looks like Yanks are playing against the Home plate Ump too

  6. Schmidt got out of it - COME ON anthony!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Those were three pathetic swings by Berti

    ReplyDelete
  8. I need to find the Masters radio broadcast cuz the Guardian Dick-riding is WILD

    ReplyDelete
  9. Re publus: Yes. I still want them to sign him but saying he's GG quality seems wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Good Golly - Trevino buys us a run - Alls Wells that ends wells

    ReplyDelete
  11. Who teaches these guys how to run???? Boone has to be held accountable. Sloppy.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Nothing will improve a hitters BA like a draw-in infield

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yup. But give Trevino credit for hitting it hard, then damn him for getting picked off, which cost us a run

      Delete
  13. Gleyber School of baserunning lol

    ReplyDelete
  14. And... shitty baserunning. Trevino does suck, after all.

    ReplyDelete
  15. That's a high school play. Verdugo was supposed to take off. Wasn't he? Wasn't he?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Wondering myself if that was a set play or not.

  16. Is Trevino a Free agent this winter? Can we get rid of him?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. He was set to be re-signed to a five year deal after that rbi single BUT that offer has been reduced to two years after the pick-off

      Delete
    2. He’s already signed for 2025

      Delete
  17. And Billy Martin spins like an auger in his box... WTF is with this team?

    1. The fundamentals are not stressed. Players are not held accountable. Boone wants to be a friend but not a coach.

      Delete
    2. Boone should be watching at home on a couch

      Delete
  18. Players with cement legs and/or a soiled diaper for brains should never be given a green light to steal a base. ESPECIALLY in games this important.

    ReplyDelete
  19. This team is both the best and worst team on the field

    ReplyDelete

    1. Which is why they are just a bit over .500 since early summer.

  20. Damn! Boyd after two inning 43 pitches, Schmidt 21. I'd be nervous as hell if I were an Indian fan....

    ReplyDelete
  21. Watched Soto bust it up the 1B line on a routine grounder.

    Watched Stanton loaf.

If Stanton gets paid $28 million, Soto SHOULD get $56 million/year.

All that, plus a Gold Glove nomination, too!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Schmidt is not great but who else do we have? Not a deep starting staff...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Schmidt isnt getting those border pitches he better do somem else

    ReplyDelete
  24. Gleyber doesn't do what every other second baseman in pro ball does...keep tag on

    ReplyDelete
  25. It’s remarkable we’re only down one run…

    ReplyDelete
  26. He pulled a muscle. Something about Cleveland's mound is jinxed for the Yankees during the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ow is the time to put Rizzo in and get rid of Berti - but is Boooone gonna do that?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Would have been nice to avoid that DP - that would have scored a run.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Is there a judge’ian blast in their bones?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Boone has got to pinch hit Wells to lead off next inning.

    ReplyDelete
  31. And now sit Berti and get a bat in Rizzo’s hands

    ReplyDelete
  32. But it all might be too little too late

    ReplyDelete
  33. Making a postseason name for himself.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Late and clutch. That's what he needs to do.

    ReplyDelete
  35. We need a back to back belly to bely here

    ReplyDelete
  36. BACK TO BACK BELLY TO BELLY!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I FUCKIN GAVE UP WATCHING AND MISSED THE COMEBACK!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. BACK 2 BACK BELLY 2 BELLY WOOWOWOWOWOW

    ReplyDelete
  39. Rizzo! Comes in for D and gives up the double. Rizz should have mad that play. Damn.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Bad feeling after the Rizzo failure

    ReplyDelete
  41. Rizzo looked like a 40 year old guy on a cold night there

    ReplyDelete
  42. And the defensive replacement can't make the play.

    ReplyDelete
  43. How many times can you ask for a 4 out save? Rolling the dice too much.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Last one was too close to take, anyway. Ump shouldn't have rewarded him.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Maybe this is one of those wild pitch innings

    ReplyDelete
  46. Volpe!!! Knocks the ball out!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Bad baserunning again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got lucky on that play.

    ReplyDelete
  48. They SUCK but it worked out. Now they score on a wild pitch

    ReplyDelete
  49. Must get that run in. Bad at-bat by Wells.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Knew Wells would K. He’s useless.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The evidence is clear. Wells can't hit a fastball up.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Still can get a run on a sac fly.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Feels like they have to score or all the momentum shifts.

    ReplyDelete
  54. We were lucky on that baserunning blunder by Volpe. Almost interference by Volpe. A buncha drunks out there like Sterling said. Of course with Wells up, you knew we were giving them an out

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wells should have bunted. Safety squeeze. Remember those?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wild pitch. We do it all the time

    ReplyDelete
  57. That’ll do Gleyber. Would you rather have Trevino with a bat in his hand In that situation?

    ReplyDelete
  58. I don’t ever wanna see Trevino in the lineup again. Ever again.

    ReplyDelete
  59. So, an interesting story on climate change tonight on PBS News Hour. Hope you all caught it

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Is climate change the reason that Trevino sucks so much?

      Delete
  60. Everybody's beating the Rizz tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Rizzo playing like he expected to have the FULL day off

    ReplyDelete
  62. My sincerest apologies for insisting that Rizzo get back in the game

    ReplyDelete
  63. Replies
    1. Booooone should’ve had Rizzo start, and put Bertie in for defensive in the late innings

  65. I will Rizzo a big break here - playing with jammed up fingers. If not for playoffs he would not be playing. He is a tough gamer and I appreciate it.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Article in The Athletic comparing Weaver's pitches last year and this. Pretty incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Double doesn't help much. Still only need one out.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Re Rizzo - then blame Boone for putting Rizzo in a position to fail.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Boone is a dope asking for all these 4 out saves. He just does not get it.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yep. Used Weaver too much too often.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Bitty warned us. And you didn't listen. I warned us and I didn't listen.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Holy shit
Well now we get to see Holmes in the 10th for the save or hold.....

    ReplyDelete
  73. Given our other options...i dont think he had a choice....Warm up stroman for extras

    ReplyDelete
  74. Why are these announcers yelling and going crazy over that home run? They were not at all effusive over the two Yankees homers.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Told you! the amount of Guardian d***sucking theyre doing is incredible

  75. So basically it's over. We're doomed

    ReplyDelete
  76. Lost location on fastball. Noel ruled it out. Sat breaking ball. Or, he's tipping.

One way or another, very good guess

    ReplyDelete
  77. Has Cleveland cornered the market on old timey fat guys?

    ReplyDelete
  78. We'd be better of with Shirley Chissom

    ReplyDelete
  79. The Manfred Man was not available for comment...

  80. Biggest at~bat of little Tony’s young life

    ReplyDelete
  81. The Clevelindians walk it off here

    ReplyDelete
  82. Why can't we play small ball?????????

    ReplyDelete
  83. As Han says all the time in Star Wars - "I've got a bad feeling about this."

    ReplyDelete
  84. Aroldis Holmes.

    Good night.

    Fuck Boone.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Huge opportunity flushed by boone

    ReplyDelete
  86. Never expected a sweep, even in going into the bottom of the ninth.

    ReplyDelete
  87. That better be their last win of the series cant stand these fuckin clowns

    ReplyDelete
  88. Running into outs, miss-managed bullpen, these things are coaching problems. What pisses me off even Boone is fired Cashman will hire another kiss-butt clone robot.

  90. 2024 Yankees...a little stretch of good-ish baseball (we've had that the last week or so), ended by an ugly
, baffling loss (tonight), followed by a week or ten days of dismal baseball...lost confidence, bad, flailing at bats, indifferent D, brutal baserunning. It's been tje pattern all year. We'll see it really take hold tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  91. This team couldn't beat either remaining NL team, anyway. It's just as well.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Starting Trevino was a gross mistake - and Berti too. He was resting Rizzo? Seriously? After the guy was one of the few hot bats? What a waste .
