One more to go. But anyone have any advice for keeeping at bay intrusive thoughts about how this Yankees pitching staff/defense will fare against the Dodgers or Mets lineups? It's frightening.
We sucked, but so did every team still in the playoffs. Pitching staffs are over-managed year, but more so in the playoffs. Because in computer simulations pitchers don't get tired or stressed. But managers ARE scared, don't want to get second guessed, maybe get fired. So this is what you get, a war of attrition. Stalingrad for wimps.
This might be the thing that turns the MLB back to prioritizing the starter...and out of this bullpen game... specialized arm bullshit we got now Yankees are the one team in this playoff that got 4 actual starters
I ask, isn't it the same old shit? Boone keeps putting Clint "Choke" Holmes out there and he coughs it up. Maybe The Yankees win a championship and I am not saying root for them to lose. If they should, we get more years of Boone and Cashman.
The sad truth is, whether they win or lose, we'll get more years of Cashman and Boone. And Cashman will throw Boone under a bus in a NY minute, if he thinks his job is threatened. Yet Cashman is the greatest problem.
I really think that the Yanks are going to throw the next game so they can try to win it at home. I've seen that happen in countless series where they rather not win it on the road. Plus it makes everyone that much more money to squeeze another game out.

ReplyDeleteRodon needs to throw a complete game shut out tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI'll say. Can't take much more of this at my age.

ReplyDeleteOne game at a time, Pub…we ain’t there yet
DeleteWhat idiot thought it was a good idea to use Jazz as a cleanup hitter? If you need a left between judge and Stanton, it needs to be Rizzo
ReplyDeleteThey were tryna ease him in ..Rizzo might be in there tomorrow
DeleteI still can’t believe, after 14 Ks and giving up 7 BBs, the Yankees still won. What an ugly game
ReplyDeleteI guess winning ugly is better than losing ugly. And it’s probably the only good option this team has.
ReplyDeleteWe will win it all. The master may move on to the next realm and we will be miserable for 100 years.

DeleteHOW Can anyone be sleeping?
ReplyDeleteI swallowed a couple of gummies, watched In Plain Sight, and went to bed, falling asleep immediately. That's how.

ReplyDeleteThey didn't do this in KC - but it is Cleveland after all
ReplyDeleteThat was a big Yankee win.
ReplyDeleteVampifella, losing is the only thing I'm sure these Yankees can do reliably.
